Odorization Requirements
Odorization is important for many reasons, including the fact that it is required by the federal government. Title 49, Part 192 of the US Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) lists the minimum federal safety standards regarding the odorization of gas. The requirements in 49 CFR 192.625 improve the recognition of leaks and reduce catastrophic events.

Odorization Products & Accessories
There are many products available to provide peace of mind or help technicians safely maintain and service their systems. In cases where the utility is purchasing odorized gas rather than odorizing it themselves, Welker offers the IntelliScent™ Odorant Monitor, which provides an objective measurement of odorant levels and eliminates the need for a subjective monthly sniff test. We also carry Diffusing Probes that can be used in combination with Welker's injection odorizers and they quickly disperses the odorant throughout the pipeline.
