If you’ve recently purchased a Sensus AMI or AMR system, one of the first things you’ll need to do is install and activate your Sensus SmartPoint meter radios. Here, we will walk you through the process of installing and activating an Industrial Sensus SmartPoint. For the purposes of this video, we’ll be showing you how to install and activate a Sensus 700 GM SmartPoint to a pulse-style two wire meter, in this case a Sensus Sonix meter, but the process will be the same for any two-wire pulse output style meter and meter radio in your system regardless of the meter brand that you're using. What you'll need:
- Meter
- Sensus Industrial SmartPoint
- Phillips screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver
- Bracket/pole mount kit (Includes 2 panhead screws, 2 aluminum nuts, 2 aluminum washers, 2 aluminum lock washers, and a pole mounting bracket)
Note: Each Sensus 700 GM or 900 GM SmartPoint consists of 3 components: The front cover, the SmartPoint itself, and the back plate.
